I’ve been blogging since November of 2007. When I first started, I had absolutely no kind of media savvy at all. My posts were random, bizarre, and frankly boring.
Over the years, I managed to find some kind of focus and my posts got better. As I moved along in life, I started my own business and attached a blog to that website. As a result, the focus that I found with the first blog moved over to the second.
And now, here I am, starting a third blog. This time, however, I have a focus going in.
This time around, I’ll be focusing on my journey toward physical fitness, health, and well-being. Much of it will circle around my journey towards my Kempo Jiujitsu Brown Belt (more on that later!). Within that story, however, is a larger one: my journey from arty-fartsy bookworm to physically fit femme fatale.
Or something. I’m still working on the niggly deets.
I’ll talk about nutrition, wellness, what it feels like to take self-defense based martial arts classes, my frustrations and my wins. I’ll go over personal lessons learned as well as the lessons I struggle to learn.
Oh, and I’ll probably talk about Doritos, too.
My goal is to provide insights, encouragement, and revelations, all with a sense of humor.
After all, if this big-boobed, big-hipped, pizza-loving, burpee-hater can do it, so can you.
